The 5th installment of our Japan trip at the beginning of the year!
We started the day off with heading to Ginza to go to a Mister Donuts - I wanted to get a pokemon lucky back, but it was sold out. Was definitely way too late in hoping to get one, since they were sold end of December. But it is what it is. We had some nice donuts and coffee, and headed over to Yokohama to see the Gundam Factory and the moving Gundam that's supposed to close on March 31, 2024.
After being awed by the sheer size, we headed Shibuya to catch our time slot for the timed entry (I was aiming for sunset) for Shibuya Sky - which apparently only opened during covid, so a lot of tourists were there. And it was just..jam packed. We lined up for the photo spot, which even that took maybe a good hour or two.
We found a nice wagyu place that did yakiniku named, 和牛の神様. It was actually so good. Had a fun time talking to the server too. Shawn tried to speak to him in Japanese - very broken, but he tried. And there was a fun conversation about going to Sendai, and being a big fan of Hanyu Yuzuru, which he said Shawn kinda looked like him. I tried to vlog us eating and cooking, so they must've thought we were some sort of Youtubers and took an interest in us.
