Who is Limwaiyee? 


My name is Katherine Lim - most people call me Kat. The name "Limwaiyee" comes from my Chinese name, Wai-Yee Lim (林惠怡). I am an American born Chinese, currently living in Canada, singer-songwriter that daylights as a landscape and urban designer, architectural technologist, specifications writer and artist, who loves to travel. 

I have been playing piano practically all my life and won the Young Musician’s Festival award twice when I was still living in the states.

 Upon moving to Canada at the age of 14, I developed a large interest in art, architecture and landscape architecture; therefore studying landscape architecture in university. I then pursued a diploma in voice and piano, as well as further education in Architecture. I also have a passion for travelling, drawing - as seen on my Instagram, and learning and seeing new things.
