I'm a little backlogged on posting. I've got another miniature house that I've still yet to post about. But I recently finished one that I really wanted to show, mostly because I'm really proud of this one. But here's my most recent buy - a DIY miniature house kit that I found at Krazy Binz one day - just by chance. It only took about 4 days to complete (totalling about 35 hours) to make. Everything was made of wood, paper, wire, fabric, electrical wiring and light bulbs. This one also came with a music box hidden behind the kitchen/dining room cabinets. What a surprise to find that it came with a music box - and easy access for wind-up at the back of the model.
I always hate stripping wires to become an electrician - it's a strange process if you're not used to it, where you can accidentally cut the wire instead of the plastic coverings instead. Luckily, this time, the instructions didn't require me to melt rubber around the electrical wiring. :)
Did I mention the music box plays a very out of tune version from Studio Ghibli's Laputa: Castle in the Sky - 君をのせて (Kimi wo Nosete)?
